Staging: 

* de-clutter and de-personalize each room.  * pack away and put into storage items that you will not need and get a head start on your packing for when you move * show off the best selling features of each room * create a focal point in the living, dining and family rooms

* create a peaceful atmosphere in bedrooms and spa like atmosphere in bathrooms

* neutralize the décor so that you appeal to as many buyers as possible. 

* paint walls a neutral colour and strip away old or torn wallpaper

* edit and remove unnecessary furniture and accessories

* clean all windows

* clear off counter space in kitchens plus free up storage space in cupboards and closets

* ensure all lights are in working order and add lights to dark corners so that your home becomes warm and inviting

*be aware of and eliminate pet and cooking odours 

* create curb appeal by adding plants, clearing and cleaning walkways, fixing broken screens or windows.  If it’s the wintertime, make sure your driveway and walkway are clear of snow and ice.   

You may need to invest a few $ to stage your home properly so that it shows at its best.  A home that attracts buyers sells faster and at the top $.
